Reclaimed Douglas Fir End Grain Countertop

Douglas fir end grain tables and countertops are made by fusing together the end pieces into an offset rectangular pattern exposing the rings and graining. End grain "butcher block" construction is the strongest and most durable and preferred by chefs as the tops resist cuts and marks, and cradle the knife’s edge between the end grain fibers, extending time between blade sharpening. Reclaimed Douglas fir colors vary from light rosy pinks and yellow-browns to dark amber reds. Some reclaimed marks may include nail holes, staining and surface checking. Tops are made to order with curving and shaping available upon request. Spec sheet
